Google is introducing SynthID, a digital watermarking technology that embeds imperceptible signals into AI-generated content, to enhance transparency and verification across its platforms. The technology has been used to watermark over 100 billion images and videos, and is being integrated into Gemini, Chrome, and other products to help users identify AI-generated content. The company is also developing an AI content detection API to help businesses manage and verify AI-generated media.
