Indian AI coding startup Emergent becomes a unicorn with $130M Series C
Emergent, an Indian AI coding startup, raised $130 million in a Series C funding round, achieving a fivefold increase in six months, with a post-money valuation of $1.5 billion. The round was led by Creaegis, and it brings the company's total funding to $230 million, following a previous $70 million Series B round. The startup aims to serve small businesses and entrepreneurs by providing a platform that handles deployment, hosting, testing, and debugging, differentiating itself from Replit. With the new capital, Emergent plans to accelerate product development and expand its operations, including opening an office in Europe.
