Self-sustaining AI, integrated with physical infrastructure, may be achievable within a decade, but challenges remain in transferring tacit knowledge and maintaining robot reliability. DeepMind suggests that superintelligence could emerge through scaling compute and data, though energy and data limitations may hinder progress.
