
Nous Research, the startup behind the open-source Hermes agent, raised $1.5 billion in a new round of funding led by Robot Ventures, with significant participation from USV and other investors, aiming to expand its product offerings and business model. The company, founded in 2023, previously raised $70 million and has released a range of language models focused on coding and math. Hermes, a local agent that can perform tasks on behalf of users, includes built-in skills and is designed to learn from users without manual intervention.
