OpenAI may announce a ChatGPT smart speaker this year
OpenAI is set to release a smart speaker in 2027, integrating ChatGPT functionality without a screen, using a camera and sensors to interact with the environment. The device will feature a rechargeable battery, smart home controls, and media playback, and will use GPT-Live for enhanced voice interaction. OpenAI has partnered with Jony Ive, former Apple designer, and has teased a Codex Micro gadget, following a legal dispute with Apple.
