Google is renaming NotebookLM to Gemini Notebook
Google is renaming its AI note-taking app from NotebookLM to Gemini Notebook, while keeping it as a standalone product that integrates with Gemini and Google Search. The update enables users to connect notebooks to the Gemini app and use AI Mode, allowing them to create AI podcasts, narrated slideshows, and TikTok-style clips. The name change follows a timeline where the app was initially called Project Tailwind in 2023 and later renamed in 2026.
