Google just announced a major shakeup of its top AI leadership
Google has appointed Koray Kavukcuoglu as its SVP of DeepMind, replacing Demis Hassabis, who steps down to lead Isomorphic Labs and remains involved in AI-driven drug development. Hassabis continues to collaborate with Pichai on global AI strategies, while Kavukcuoglu will report to Pichai. Additionally, Jeff Dean and Sanjay Ghemawat will form Discovery Loop, a public benefit corporation focused on advancing AI for global benefit.
