Friend re-launches its AI pendant with a new speaker feature, increasing the price from $129 to $249, and introduces a subscription model that allows the device to remember conversations for longer than 30 days. The re-launch follows a protest in New York where supporters criticized the company for heavy advertising and technological dependence, and the founder posted a tweet about the new ad, calling it "Friend 2.0."
