Meta says its new AI model is ready to compete on coding
Meta has launched Muse Spark 1.1, an AI model for coding that offers advanced features like bug detection and fixing, and is now available to US developers via the Meta Model API. The model is described as a "step-change" improvement, with enhancements based on developer feedback, and supports end-to-end agentic workflows. It also includes multimodal perception for processing images, videos, and documents. The launch follows Meta's efforts to compete in the AI space, with investments in research and hiring, and the model is now available in Thinking mode through the Meta AI app and website with a free credit offer.
