
Anthropic has implemented watermarking for text generated by its models, including Claude, to comply with the EU AI Act’s Transparency Code, with support for all models released after August 2023. The company uses the C2PA standard for files and plans to extend support to older models, though it has not clarified how to remove the watermark. Other platforms are also adopting watermarks in response to regulatory and user concerns.
