Anthropic releases Opus 5 with ‘close’ to Fable 5’s capabilities
Anthropic released Opus 5, its latest model with enhanced cybersecurity features, marketed as close to Claude Fable 5, tailored for enterprise use in knowledge work and biology. It maintains the same pricing per million tokens as Opus 4.8, with a slight price advantage over OpenAI's GPT-5.6, and includes Fast mode for speed but higher pricing. The model claims to be the most secure and least prone to misuse among its series, following government concerns and cybersecurity upgrades for the previous version.
