Google Earth’s AI deepfake tool only lasted one day
Google has discontinued a feature in Google Earth that allowed users to create AI-generated images with text prompts, which could generate harmful content like deepfakes. The feature, Nano Banana 2, was shut down one day after its launch, with Google implementing digital watermarks and stronger guardrails to prevent the creation of harmful images.
