Grabette is an open, low-cost system that enables users to record robot-manipulation tasks with a handheld gripper, converting demonstrations into robot-ready datasets without requiring a robot, lab, or teleoperation rig. It features a gripper instrumented with cameras and an IMU, allowing data to be processed using RTAB-MAP for SLAM and converted into LeRobot format, making it accessible for diverse robots and learning methods. The system is community-driven, with users contributing data to the Hugging Face Hub, fostering a diverse and extensive dataset that supports robot learning and collaboration.
