Google Assistant will disappear from your phone next month
Google Assistant will be phased out from Android devices starting September 4, 2026, as the company transitions to its new AI model, Gemini. Users will no longer be able to switch back to Assistant after the removal, and access will be removed from various Android devices and paired accessories. Assistant will remain on Google Home and Google TV.
