
Google is adding a new "created or edited with AI" label to ads made using its generative AI tools, automatically applying it to ads on Google Search, Discover, and YouTube. The label will appear in the "My Ad Center" section and can be blocked or reported by users. AI-generated ads from other sources will require manual labeling. The feature follows previous efforts to detect synthetic or digitally altered content in political ads.
