Google Images gets a Pinterest-like redesign focused on discovery
Google Images is revamping its platform to compete with Pinterest by introducing a dynamic, browsable gallery with AI-generated images, allowing users to create personalized visuals directly within Search. The redesign includes a "For You" gallery that tailors images to user preferences and history, with real-time updates, and features a "For You" tab for curated content. The AI image generation feature, called AI Overviews, enables users to transform text prompts into custom visuals using Google's Nano Banana model, offering inspiration for spaces and ideas.
